Nicole Rojas to the Parent Engagement Team as the Director of Community Schools. Rojas will support Westbrook Academy and LA Promise Fund’s community engagement efforts.
Nicole has 20 years of experience as a Social Justice Advocate and Gang Intervention Program Developer in East Los Angeles.
She graduated from Pacific Oaks College with a B.A. in Human Development and currently pursuing her Graduate Degree in Cultural & Family Studies. Rojas believes in creating a safe space for Indigenous Healing in Inner City communities that are not aware of their Historical Trauma.
Rojas has over 20 years of volunteer experience and event management at organizations such as the Healing Communities Conference, Mexika New Year, Día De Los Muertos, Aztlan Run, Gathering of Elders, Peace and Dignity Run, Mother’s Day Pow-wow, and various benefit concerts. She also has 10 years of experience organizing youth camps and excursions. Her most recent passion is to educate her native communities on Missing and Murdering Indigenous Women and Sex Trafficking.
