Lori Hashimoto serves as the Operations Manager, specializing in facilities management and development.
She was initially hired as LAPF’s interim office manager/executive assistant in 2020, but then joined the Network for School Improvement Initiative (NSI) as a project coordinator where she assisted in convening planning and network coordination.
Previously, Hashimoto worked for 5 years as a project management/owner’s representative for high end residential clients. She also worked as an architect for 12 years building and renovating theaters, churches, schools and residences in Southern California and Chile.
Hashimoto received a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University. After living in Pittsburgh for 7 years, she couldn’t wait to move back west to the sun and sea.
When researching school options for her son, she read Ethic of Excellence by Ron Berger which made her a firm believer in project based learning. Hashimoto is excited to lead the LAPF team in designing a new facility for the Russell Westbrook Why Not? Academy whose mission supports project based learning!
