Chief Strategic Officer

Kyle Miller is the Chief Strategic Officer at LA Promise Fund. She has responsibility for strategic initiatives, data and knowledge management and directing the South LA Network for School Improvement. Kyle joined LAPF in November 2020.

Kyle brings 20+ years of experience designing and supporting strategic education reform initiatives focused on social justice and equity of outcomes for students from underserved populations. Almost a decade of her experience is in education philanthropy. At the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, her investments focused on increasing the national high school completion rate and the college acceptance rate for students of color. At the newly launched ECMC Foundation, Kyle guided the development of the investment strategy, the evaluation framework, the grants monitoring system, and institutionalized practices, procedures and policies to ensure organizational learning and effectiveness. She was also responsible for the Teacher and Leader Development investments focused on spreading Deeper Learning instructional practices in K-12 and higher education nationally. Additionally, Kyle has experience in corporate operations, school facility financing and education non-profit consulting.

Kyle earned a Master of Arts in Not-for-Profit Leadership from Seattle University and a B.S. in Business from Skidmore College. Kyle is an avid tennis fan and player, a lover of movies and good writing in any medium.
