Career Pathway Connections Manager
Emely Moreno is the Career Pathway Connections Manager. She oversees The Intern Project (TIP) as well as the Career Pathway Connection (CPC) program by leading workshops, recruiting students, and serving as a mentor. Her one-on-one attention with high school students prepares them for their future career paths.
Moreno joined LAPF in May of 2022, as an intern for The Intern Project. At the conclusion of the summer program, Moreno was hired as a part-time LAPF staff member, working as the TIP Coordinator to further support the fall cohort. Prior to LAPF, Moreno was a U.S. Vets case manager in which she completed intakes and provided resources to veterans in Southern California. Moreno has always been passionate about working with youth and started her career as an after-school coach, and middle school tutor.
Moreno graduated with a Social Work Bachelors’ degree from Cal State Los Angeles and plans to further her education by pursuing a Masters’ degree in Social Work. During her spare time, Moreno enjoys volunteering with local organizations whether it is helping support community events, assisting with holiday giveaways, or offering tutoring services.
Moreno is a self-proclaimed book junkie, specifically in genres like mystery, romance, and self-help. She is currently reading a romance novel by Jasmine Guillory called The Wedding Date. In her free time, she will most likely be hiking, looking up recipes, and trying new foods in LA.
