Edgar Campos

Chief Advancement Officer

Edgar Campos is a 20-year veteran of Los Angeles’ political and civic arenas. He has held senior staff positions in the nonprofit sector, electoral campaigns, and several elected official staff teams in government, and for ad-hoc projects as a consultant.

Beyond working for preeminent nonprofit organizations, Campos has successfully managed several issue advocacy, city measures, and state proposition campaigns. He has served on several boards, and committees, including both the Mayor of Los Angeles’ GRYD (’18 and ’22) and the California Board of Community Corrections Prop 47 (’19 and ’24) panels.

Campos began his career working for college readiness programs and community organizing in South Los Angeles. His passion is helping to distill complex policy issues impacting immigrant Latino, and working-class African Americans for wide audiences to find community-driven solutions that empower everyday residents.

Campos is known for his holistic approach to community development. His history of work in immigration, housing, criminal justice, child welfare reform, sustainability, and education causes inform his understanding of how the intersectionality of issues factor into student success, and at a macro level, the ability for families to thrive in their home communities.

Previously, Campos served as the Chief Strategy Officer of LAUSD’s School Board President Office and is a current Board Member with the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. He holds a B. A from UCLA and an M.B.A. with a focus in Non-Profit Executive Management.
