Dr. Rochelle Tawiah

Dr. Rochelle Tawiah is a life-long educator who is dedicated to the youth of Los Angeles.  More specifically, children who are historically underserved.  She truly believes that  ALL children can learn when placed in the right environment and have access to resources.  Dr. Tawiah not only grew up in the very community she serves but has served as an educator for over 23 years in Los Angeles County.

Dr. Tawiah began her career as an Instructional Assistant while she earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree and  teaching credential at CSU Dominguez Hills.  She went on to earn her Master’s Degree and Administrative Service Credential while she worked as an Instructional Assistant, Teacher, Assistant Principal and Principal for the Los Angeles County Office of Education.  Dr. Tawiah’s passion is in STEM and Inquiry/Problem Based Learning and received her doctorate degree from the University of Southern California. Her research is grounded in Inquiry/Problem Based Learning (STEM)  and professional development in the discipline of math and science. She has worked for charter schools for over 7 years.
