Director of Development
Mia Henley supports the development strategies of the LA Promise Fund through a focus on corporate partnerships and special events. In her role, Henley manages and cultivates relationships with local companies, oversees the LA Promise Fund’s Young Professionals Council, composes corporate and government grants, and plans and executes all types of events.
Henley began her career at a startup healthy snack food company, where she wore numerous hats and honed her marketing, sales, and operations skills. Henley graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied economics, women’s history, literature, and dance. While in college, Henley interned with Brandworkers, a non-profit which fights for justice for immigrant workers using organizing, grassroots advocacy, and legal actions.
Henley’s favorite novel is Kindred by Octavia Butler. In her free time, she enjoys dance fitness classes, cooking, and spending time with her adorable dog.
