The future of the global economy will be driven by careers in STEM-related fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Yet there continues to be a significant under-representation of young women and minorities in those areas. Designed to address the pipeline problem with STEM, Hello Future launches October 23 and 24, 2019 with an innovative interactive experience held at the Microsoft Theater and the Los Angeles Convention Center. The experience will ENGAGE, INSPIRE, and EMPOWER young people from middle school through college by bringing them together with today’s most disruptive entrepreneurs, tech innovators, and brands.
Leveraging off the immense success of the LA Promise Fund’s past Girls Build Summits, Hello Future will engage a broader audience — girls in middle and high school, as well as young men and women of color ages 18-24 — in partnership with the Youth Mobile Festival (YoMo) Los Angeles.
Day 1 of our two-day event engages audiences around themes of STEM through an inspiring keynote address followed by a series of interactive panels, each focused on a different aspect of STEM.
In years past, our summits have featured speakers like Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Pharrell, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Shonda Rhimes, and more.
Day 2 of our two-day event will engage audiences with over 100+ interactive exhibition stands built in partnership with YoMo. The experiences will ENGAGE young people and show them how STEM applies in unexpected ways.
Attendees will also take part in a Career Fair, featuring companies in the STEM-space.
Join 5,000 middle and high school girls from public schools across LA County for an inspiring keynote and panels focused on the importance of STEM and how it drives the future economy.
UPDATE! Jennifer Siebel Newsom, First Partner of California, filmmaker and advocate, will be one of our featured speakers.
