Designed to address the diversity pipeline problem with STEM, Hello Future launched October 23 and 24, 2019 in downtown Los Angeles. The event ENGAGED, INSPIRED, and EMPOWERED young people from middle school and up by bringing them together with today’s most disruptive entrepreneurs, tech innovators, and brands.
Leveraging off the immense success of the LA Promise Fund’s past Girls Build Summits, Hello Future engages a broader audience — girls in middle and high school, as well as young men and women of color — in partnership with the Youth Mobile Festival (YoMo) Los Angeles.
Over 5,000 middle and high school girls from public schools across LA County attended inspiring keynote and panels focused on the importance of STEM and how it drives the future economy.
The program:
Day 2 of our two-day event engaged audiences with over 100+ interactive exhibition stands built in partnership with YoMo. The experiences ENGAGED young people and showed them how STEM applies in unexpected ways.
Attendees also took part in a Career Fair, featuring companies in the STEM-space.
