Grace Montgomery

ABE Coordinator & Lab Technician (PBC)

Grace is Coordinator & Lab Technician for the Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) distribution center located at Pasadena Bio Collective (PBC).  She serves as Co-Lead for teacher training at The Huntington Library, coordinator of monthly Amgen workdays and senior supervisor training mentor for PBC. Her other essential jobs include: scheduling teachers for their kit use and pick up time, placing orders to produce needed expendables for the labs, and maintaining supplies and equipment.

She graduated from Chatham University, Pittsburgh, and obtained her teaching certificate from Cal State LA.  Montgomery taught Biology and Earth Science for 20 years before retiring to pursue other interests. These pursuits led her back to teaching as a Senior supervisor/training mentor for PBC and presenting at ABE teacher training workshops and career fairs.

Montgomery enjoys reading, and her favorite book is Up and Down California by William Brewer.  Montgomery’s hobbies include photography, hiking and gardening. She believes that once you stop learning, you start dying.

“The world is a mirror, for king and for slave, in all that you say and do.  So give the world the best that you have, and the best will come back to you. ” Anon
