Tech Company LoopMe Gives to  LA Promise Fund for #GivingTuesday 💌

For many of us, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the “unofficial” start to the holiday season.

This year, it’s imperative #GivingTuesday be the official start of the giving season.

Today, you can help to ensure that learning does not stop for our students, even in the face of a global health crisis.

This has been an especially challenging year for our students. We’re so proud of our teachers’ commitment to helping them see it through – like our 8th-grade science teacher and GirlsBuild LA Promise Charter Middle \
School Coordinator Kristy Mar, who has taken it upon herself to personally fundraise so that she can continue to create an enriching experience for her students.

“My favorite memory was always noticing their excitement as they walked towards their seats and would see on that day we would have a demonstration or lab activity they would be performing.

Now with distance learning, I am unable to provide a more technical and scientifically sound environment through video conferencing – but what I have learned is a new way for teaching creatively and accessing my students’ artistic side.”

We’re so proud to have resilient people like Kristy on our team. But she needs help. That’s why we’re excited to announce that tech company LoopMe has risen to the challenge to help us raise the needed funds for teachers like Ms. Mar and our schools.

For today only, LoopMe will match a portion of all gifts made today now until midnight.

We NEED your help to bring high-quality education to our students/South LA.

We’re proud to serve 40,000 students across Los Angeles, predominately of African American and Latinx descent. Since the learning from home mandate went into effect on March 13, 2020,  our teachers have been working tirelessly to adjust to a virtual environment that best supports our students. Our parents have remained by our side serving as teacher’s aides creating the best academic environment for our students. And our students have continued to show up and take the necessary steps towards success in college, career, and life.

Please donate today to support our South LA schools through the rest of the academic year.
