GirlsBuild, an initiative of the LA Promise Fund started in 2014, empowers thousands of young women annually throughout LA and beyond to effect social change and become the leaders in their communities. Students come together through GirlsBuild clubs at their schools, identify challenges in their community, and advance solutions using tech, leadership and social media skills gained through program-provided curriculum, workshops, and mentors.
More than 5,000 middle and high school girls from public schools across Southern California and nationwide attended inspiring keynote and panels focused on the importance of civic engagement, voter registration and female empowerment.

Unleashing Your Passion
Is it possible to do the work you love and love the work you do? According to our panelists, absolutely! In this panel, Participants will learn from female business leaders across various career fields how to integrate their life’s passion into their work and create their dream job. Whether it’s in the entertainment industry, legal world or as a social activist, these women leaders will inspire attendees with how they unleashed their passion and in doing so unleashed their potential.
Equity in Action
Equity in Action may sound like the latest social justice cause that many companies will rush to embrace as part of their next marketing campaign, but how do activists and communities keep the movement for equity and justice, as well as inclusivity, relevant and alive long enough to drive real change in corporate America? How has corporate America embraced equity? Join women business leaders as they share their thoughts about how equity can be reached and sustained for the betterment of their companies and the future of our country.
