Russell Westbrook Why Not? Middle School, Instructional Aide

The Instructional Aide will support students in the classroom, during individual and small group learning. They will work under the supervision of a certificated teacher in the classroom, and school leaders. English Language Development Teacher

This position aims at serving the students of WNA MS and WNA HS by collaborating with fellow teachers, parents and the South LA community in efforts to increase content literacy through Integrated ELD Instruction specific to newcomers and students at lower language proficiency levels.  Utilizing evidence based strategies and formalizing assessments like the ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessment for California), this teaching role will instill confidence in student English proficiency while valuing diverse cultures. more info

WNA MS is committed to Common Core Standards and student assessment data.  The PE teacher candidate must demonstrate positive communication skills among scholars, staff and families.  Using data-driven techniques and Project-Based Learning framework, the PE candidate will explore research in the areas of physical activity, achievement, nutrition, sports and health awareness.  more info

Director of Grant Management

This position reports to the President and/or Chief Advancement Officer to implement awareness and accountable systems for achieving requirements specified in grants.  As well as maintaining the organization’s grant calendar, CRM and internal/external reporting, the Director of Grant Management will seek both unrestricted and restricted funding for LAPF and the Charter Schools. This temporary, full time position at WNA MS will report to Principal Justin Shahbaz and coordinate all school operations while interfacing with students, faculty, parents and administrators.  While directly supervising the Office Coordinator and Attendance Clerk, the School Business Operations Manager will handle school bank deposits, substitute teacher tracking, supply inventory, among other duties. more info
