Chief Advancement Officer

Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors, the Chief Advancement Officer will lead the agency’s annual fundraising efforts as well as plan development efforts in two and five-year intervals.  S/he/they will develop, manage and refine LA Promise Fund’s multi-pronged fund development strategy that includes local and national foundations, corporations, individual giving and public development efforts as well as special events.  more info

Director of Finance

Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, this role is responsible for managing the financial activities including all grant/philanthropy fiscal management of the nonprofit and LAPF’s charter schools.  Experience in Charter School operations is highly encouraged as the Dir. of Finance will develop a balanced budget annually and monitor activity monthly for LAPCHS#1 & LAPCMS#1.  The Director of Finance will also manage short and long term financial and operational goals to ensure organizational growth and financial transparency. more info

LA Promise Charter High, English Teacher

Through an interdisciplinary Project-Based Learning framework, the ideal candidate integrates common core concepts to explore research in the areas of classical and modern literature, creative/academic writing and public speak.  We believe our scholars deserve a restorative justice pedagogy to execute highly engaged curriculum in a respectful advisory classroom community.  Advanced degree preferred.  more info

Marketing & Development Internship

This valuable internship with the Communications and Development departments will offer the freedom to create meaningful social media and company website content, research and network with potential stakeholders and develop editing/writing skills.  Experience with iMovie, Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is preferred.  This internship requires 5 – 10 hours per week.  more info

ABE Program Manager

ABE, or Amgen Biotech Experience, is an innovative science education program that empowers teachers to bring biotechnology to their classrooms.  LA Promise Fund manages ABE’s operations and is seeking a Program Manager candidate who is passionate about incorporating ABE throughout South LA networks.  Experience in large-scale program development is essential for this position as well as communication management amongst county-wide schools and its teachers.  more info

LA Promise Charter High, Math III Teacher

LA Promise Charter Middle, Intervention Instructional Aide (FT)

LAPCMS#1 is committed to facilitating small group and individual instruction through ESL and special needs support as well as exercising PBIS structure in the classroom.  This role as an intervention instructional aide will work directly with a certified teacher and drive student outcomes in all aspects of learning including assignment and test support.  Monitoring school spaces to maintain a safe and positive learning environment will also be part of an Aide’s role.  more info

LA Promise Charter Middle, Physical Education

LAPCMS#1 is committed to Common Core Standards and student assessment data.  The PE teacher candidate must demonstrate positive communication skills among scholars, staff and families.  Using data-driven techniques and Project-Based Learning framework, the PE candidate will explore research in the areas of physical activity, achievement, nutrition, sports and health awareness.  more info

Site Director, Amgen Biotech Experience (Greater LA)

The Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) is a LA Promise Fund Greater LA innovative science education program that empowers teachers to bring biotechnology to their classrooms.  The ABE Site Director position at LAPF will provide direction to and oversight of all program staff /activities and report to the global ABE Program Office on all financial and grant-related matters.  ABE operates out of four distribution centers which the ABE Site Director will manage: Camarillo, Fullerton, Pasadena and Woodland Hills.  more info
