Emma Brownell


Director of Communications

Emma Brownell oversees communications to all organizational stakeholders, including the public, students, families, teachers, donors, volunteers and sponsors. Prior to joining the organization, Brownell worked at the RAND Corporation, where she managed all communications for their Office of Development.

Brownell has worked at AIDS Research Alliance, The Women’s Conference, iMedia Communications, and Houlihan Lokey, where she leveraged her analytical and editorial skills to tell each organization’s story to a wide and diverse audience. Brownell holds a B.A. from Brown University in Economics and Art History.
