College Outreach Coordinator, West Adams Preparatory High School

Vikki Campos joined the LA Promise Fund in August 2017 as the College Outreach Coordinator for West Adams Preparatory High School. She supports the Associate Director of College Access and College Counselor by organizing college visits and promoting volunteer and scholarship opportunities in an effort to support students in the pursuit of higher education.

Campos received a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College of Columbia University. She comes to the LA Promise Fund with a history of volunteering and working in college counseling for non-profit and federal organizations in both California and New York. She is proud to have been mentioned in New York City Mayor Bill DeBlasio speech and Laurie M. Tisch’s article about City Harvest.

She currently volunteers as chapter advisor for her sorority, as a mentor for an organization in South Central, and as a College Coach for ScholarMatch and College Summit.

Campos reads all sorts of books on economics and education. Some of her favorite authors are Diane Ravitch, Malcolm Gladwell, and Peggy Orenstein. She loves to explore LA as she is still new to this city, loves to explore the west coast and travel the world.
