Claudia Bonilla Keller leads LA Promise Fund communications and development initiatives, as well as all health and wellness programs.
Keller joined the LA Promise Fund, formerly LA’s Promise, in September 2012 after 7 years as Executive Director at the American Heart Association here in Los Angeles. In 2007, she was the Associations’ Executive Director of the Year. At the Association, her office led the nation in the implementation of the Association’s hallmark Childhood Obesity platform – Teaching Gardens, with more gardens in the ground in LA than anywhere else in the county – including 3 at LA Promise Fund schools.
Keller earned her BA in Political Science with a minor in History from the University of California, Irvine in 1987. She will complete her Masters Degree in Public Administration from Cal State Fullerton in the spring of 2017. She spent over 18 years in the fashion industry in public relations and marketing before moving into the non-profit sector.
Keller is a sports enthusiast, and plays organized soccer at least twice a week. She enjoys reading, traveling, and gardening. Her son, Jackson, is a middle school teacher. She lives in Orange County.
